The first time we heard about the video game Midnight Suns it was in the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2021 and since then, we have been collecting information of this upcoming game of Marvel characters that is in development by Firaxis and Virtuos. Lately there has been more movement around the game, as the official accounts of Midnight Suns have been publishing the gameplay of heroes like the Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man and, more recently, Doctor Strange.
Each week they have been revealing the abilities of each of the superheroes that will come to be in Midnight Suns
Midnight Suns: What did they show us about Doctor Strange?
According to the video, Doctor Strange’s gameplay will rely heavily on a state known as “enhanced.” Basically, his abilities will give additional effects if a certain amount of Heroism is available (which is the resource that will allow the heroes to perform actions).
In addition to this, it was explained about Doctor Strange’s passive, which will be called “The Greater Good”. Its effect will be 50% chance to generate Heroism points (which increases according to skill level)
Four cards/abilities were also mentioned. The first is “Astral Meditation”, allowing combat items to be restored. Combat Items are items selected before a mission that can be used to enhance abilities, resist damage, or apply adverse effects to the enemy. There fore, using them more than once turns out to be useful.
For its part, the ability “Vapors of Valtorr” allows Doctor Strange or an ally to have the ‘Hidden’ state, which makes it impossible to be selected for an attack. While, “Seraph’s Shield” will put up a shield that will block the next damage Strange and his allies take, as well as heal them from any negative effects.
Lastly, “Seven Suns of Cinnibus” is a very powerful attack that will bluntly damage enemies in an area with multiple columns of fire.
