Behavior Interactive wants to give more flavor to the games between survivors and killers, which is why it introduced modifiers to the game. On February 7th the first modifier arrived at Dead by Daylightit is called ‘Lights out’ and below we are going to explain what this new way of playing consists of.

How long will the Lights Out modifier be active in Dead by Daylight?
Lights Out is the first of the game’s mods and has been active since Wednesday, February 7. The end date will be Wednesday February 14, 2024.
If you didn’t like it, don’t worry. As you can see, it will only be available for one week.
What is ‘Lights Out’?
When we start a game, The map will turn dark and it will be much more difficult to see what surrounds us.
But that is not all.
In the games of Dead by Daylight with the Lights Out modifier, we cannot use equipment items, upgrades or tributes. The killer has no terror radius and the survivors leave no scratch marks.
This forces you to play with much more care, stealth and lends itself to sudden scares. To counteract this a bit, chests will offer better quality items.
The maps or kingdoms that can appear when playing with the modifier are:
- Mount Ormond Complex
- treatment center
- Family residence
- destroyed square
