You must have heard that when the long-awaited season 2 of Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 y Modern Warfare II, they will lose their progress in DMZ due to a reboot or ‘reset’. We are going to explain to you exactly what is going to happen, which elements of progress and which ones you are going to preserve.
But first we want to remind you that in that same season 2 a new scenario will come to this game mode. It is about Ashika Island and you can see its map and some of its points of interest following this link.
When will the DMZ progress ‘reset’ be in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 / Modern Warfare II?
The reset will occur with the arrival of Season 2 in both games on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
What progress will we lose?
As explained by Infinity Ward, these are the elements that we will not keep after the ‘reset’:
- Inventories of contraband weapons they will have the initial weapons again.
- Inventories of keys they will be empty
- The progress in the quests and faction missions will disappear. It will be replaced by a new group of missions that will incorporate the Exclusion Zones.
What will we keep?
Despite the restart or ‘reset’ of the DMZ progression in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 / Modern Warfare II We will keep the following items:
- Las secured slots for weapons unlocked through progress in faction missions will remain. If they didn’t, unlocking one in Season 2 won’t take long.
- We will also keep the rewards of missions and bosses of season 1with the exception of keys and contraband.
Why are they going to reset the DMZ progress in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 / Modern Warfare II?
As Infinity Ward explains, progressing through Season 1 missions was unusually difficult. That’s why They made the decision to make it more balanced in Season 2, and to make sure it’s fair, they’re going to reset it.. Other changes involved are the new set of “multi-scenario” missions that will see players go to Al-Mazrah, Ashika Island, and Building 21.
Other changes for DMZ Mode in Season 2
As we already know, we can play this mode on the new Ashika Island map —where there will be a new boss— and back in the once-defunct Building 21if we get an access card in one of the other two maps.
There will also be a new faction called ‘Crown’y balance adjustments to enemy difficulty.
