Ver the special presentation of the anniversary #6 of the popular asymmetrical horror game we were very excited, but it was impossible not to leave us wanting more. The studio has spoiled us when it comes to expecting more icons of horror as killers or survivors in Dead by Daylightso we are going to make a list with the Top 10 of the characters that we most want to see in this title.
10 – The Xenomorph
The terrifying creature created by HR Giger for the franchise Alien has always been one of the most desired icons of horror by gamers of Dead by Daylight and it is the perfect option to open this top 10. Despite the variety of killers in the game, there is nothing quite like this alien horror.
We do not have to imagine how terrifying it is to be stalked by this creature, since we already lived it in the tense Alien: Isolation. this character too had a guest appearance on Fortnitebut seeing him carrying the garish chipote of the Chapulín Colorado takes away a little the fear of meeting him face to face.
9 – Caroline Walker
Who is she? We have to accept that this is a whim. Caroline is the protagonist of the indie horror game Tormented Souls and we fell in love with it as soon as we saw it in all its retro glory.
Caroline may not be a horror icon (yet), but she ticks all the boxes to be a survivor in Dead by Daylight. In addition, the story of its game – which involves dark cults of gods from other dimensions – fits very well with the ‘lore’ of the Behavior Interactive title.

8 – Valak ‘la monja’
The spell is one of the most popular horror franchises of the last decade and has already created several icons of horror, such as Annabelle and the nun, so it is unheard of that she is not yet represented with a character in Dead by Daylight.
Since Annabelle barely moves and relies on an unseen presence to do her thing, the obvious choice is the demon Valak in his demonic nun guise. This character seems tailor-made to appear in the game.
It’s a shame that the movie The Conjuring 3: the devil made me do it has been so disappointing and would not have introduced us to a new entity as terrifying as her.
7 – Chucky
The evil doll is one of the few icons of 80s horror that hasn’t made an appearance in the game. We understand, it can be difficult to include him due to his short stature, but we could find a solution if we look at what Behavior achieved with The Twins.
This is the perfect time for Chucky to appear in the game. The first season of her series was a success and her fans can’t wait to see more. The disfigured version of him, the curious ‘remake’ and even Tiffany can be fun alternate appearances.
6 – Candyman
This is another character enjoying a popular resurgence thanks to his recent ‘reboot’. His appearance with his chest and stomach open, full of bees, is terrifying and worthy of appearing in the game.
It is certain that Tony Todd would lend himself to do the voice of this horror icon if he were to appear as a murderous character in Dead by Daylightbut we’d also love to see Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s version.
5 – Carrie White
This seems like a strange choice, but let us explain. The ‘psychic girl’ archetype is quite lacking in this game. Just imagine a young woman or girl with an innocent appearance, but with a lost look and causing damage to everything and everyone who is close to her without the need to move. Carrie—whether played by Sissy Spacek, Angela Bettis, or even Chloe Moretz—would be perfect in that role.
In addition, it is a character that can play a double role as a survivor or killer. We have not seen anything like this in the game and it could be very interesting.
If you can’t include Carrie and don’t want to create an original character in this archetype, we can also get Alma, from F.E.A.R. It would be scarier, but maybe a bit like Sadako. We could think of another Stephen King character, but right now we want to forget about the protagonist of Firestarter.
4 – Pennywise
Stephen King’s universe is huge, so it’s no problem that we want two characters from his books in this game. Pennywise, the ‘jumping clown’ from That (It), is an obvious choice. Not only is he one of the most terrifying entities in the world of horror film, television and literature, but his cosmic nature also fits well with the ‘lore’ of Dead by Daylight and we had to get it into the Top 10. It’s been highly requested by the fans.
Obviously we want to see the version played by Bill Skarsgård in the recent movies, but we can’t miss an alternative outfit inspired by the appearance he had in the 1990 miniseries, in which he was played by the great Tim Curry.
3 – Lady Dimitrescu
We already have Nemesis on the list of assassins and we know that Albert Wesker will soon join him, but the truth is that the monster of Resident Evil we want to chase us in Dead by Daylight is Lady Alcina Dimitrescu, who has become quite the horror icon in her own right.
There is an incomprehensible lack of vampire characters in the game and she could fill that gap perfectly. She is the representative of gothic horror in Resident Evil Village and could do the same in DbD. The only problem will be convincing players not to get sucked into it on purpose.
2 – Jason Voorhees
We know, it’s complicated. It is too strange that one of the most important icons of eighties ‘slasher’ horror cinema is absent in Dead by Daylight while all his decade-mates enjoy serving the Entity. It is not only because he is already the protagonist of a similar game, but because there are legal issues in dispute over the copyright of the character. That’s the reason why his game stopped being updated in 2018.
With the number of alternate appearances he could take, Jason would be perfect for DbD. The only problem is that there are already several characters in the game that have the same archetype, like the huntress, and they would have to think about how to make it special.

1 – Freddy Fazbear
Despite the fact that many consider that his best times are behind him and the controversies surrounding its creator, Five Nights at Freddy’s is one of the most important and influential names in the horror world of the last decade. Fans keep asking for a collaboration between FNAF y Dead by Daylight to see Freddy as one of the murderers, so he had to head this Top 10 necessarily.
Although these games have a large number of characters that can be considered icons of horror, the character that has to appear in Dead by Daylight must be Freddy. Golden Freddy, Nightmare Freddy, Toy Freddy and the other appearances he has had throughout many games they would be great alternate outfits.
