In a short chat, we spoke with the winner and his coach of Wave C, in the OFFCORSS Junior Cup tournament con EA Sports FC 24. Julieth Escobar, coach of the winner Andres Felipe Escobartalked about his role in the OFFCORSS Junior Cup tournament.
«I had never been one and I saw the opportunity with my brother, it was something new for me. “I didn’t know what to do, but together we could.”
About the tournament organized by OFFCORSS: «I think it’s very good that they motivate children with these games. Although sometimes they see it as something negative, I think it is more like a skill that they can develop.”says Julieth in this regard.
Andrés Felipe, winner of Wave C of the OFFCORSS Junior Cup 2024 tournament, assures that his strengths as a player are: «Patience, waiting and knowing your opponent well. See what their movements are, what their tactics are, learn them and be aware of how they play.” As for his favorite players, «In this tournament I really liked how Vinícius, Bellingham and Rodrygo play. I think they make a good trident.”says Andrés Felipe.
And how are you going to prepare for the finals of the OFFCORSS Junior Cup tournament? «Mainly playing here, with people where I live – in my house –, since they are also good at playing. Start getting to know your rivals, their tactics more than anything, see how they play, how they attack, how they defend. Mentalize that to have good support and from there see how we score goals.”
