With the mid-year or summer presentations over for the northern hemisphere, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo revealed their heaviest cards for the remainder of 2024 and 2025. The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Doom: The Dark Ages y Astro Bot They are the three games listed as most desired on their respective platforms. The information comes via IGN, which has an activity tracking tool for games available on web and mobile.
While this list is not a definitive indicator of gamers’ spending habits, it does give us an idea of what gamers want to play in the near future. Two of these games come out in September, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Of course, all these games do not take into account GTA 6which was not part of the presentations and is currently the most anticipated of the generation.
The case with Zelda It is not surprising, since the last two installments have been an absolute success. Yes it is a surprise for a spiritual sequel to Link’s Awakening (Switch), using the same graphics engine and assets but an original mechanic for copying objects and creatures. That it stars Princess Zelda for the first time in Nintendo history is perhaps its most innovative point. Visually it does not appeal to astonish as Tears of the Kingdom
In the case of Sony, a new opportunity for Astro on 3D platforms, as a sequel to the demo Astro’s Playroom of PS5, included in each console and widely well received. On the part of Bethesda or Microsoft, Doom: The Dark Ages takes us back with explicit violence and blood to the realm of the Martian demons. Furthermore, the latter will not only come out on Xbox and PC consoles, but also on PS5.
