Rockstar Games has announced that Red Dead Online will be sold as a separate game starting December 1. The online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 is not as popular as GTA Online and, due to the lack of content and the complaints of its players, it gave the impression that it was not the best installment of Rockstar. However, this release may say otherwise.
RDO will be sold on all platforms (except Switch and smartphones) for a price of 5 dollars, but only until February 21 at the beginning it will have a discount of 75%. In other words, after that date you will have to pay $ 20 for this independent title.
Sold separately
Remember that RDO is included with Red Dead Redemption 2, one of the best games of the generation with a long history of 60 playable hours. The idea of Rockstar is that we access online, where you usually spend more money, without having to pay the full price of the game.
Red Dead Online offers the same map as the main story but with different activities to enjoy cooperatively, although there is also PVP. You can also create your own character and specialize in one of the six different roles that give depth to the online experience of the Old West.
The Bounty Hunter hunts for bounties posted in each village, the Naturalist learns secrets of the animal kingdom, the Trader searches for resources and materials to sell to collectors, the Collector searches for ancient treasures, and the Moonshiner runs his own distillery.
Each one has its own abilities, exclusive items and special missions and they are the best that has been added to the online mode. On the other hand, Rockstar has been criticized for slow updates (compared to GTA Online) and for not dealing with hackers on PC.
Red Dead Online will be sold digitally on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Epic Games Store, Steam, and the Rockstar Game Launcher. The game will run on all consoles, including the next gen.
