Resident Evil 3 and 2 Remake would have had parallel developments
Just a year ago Capcom satisfied the world of video games with the launch of one of the best remakes of recent years: Resident Evil 2. It was almost an open secret that after the success of the review would end up arriving a new classic Resident Evil 3, and so it has been; Only 24 hours ago Capcom presented it at the last State of Play (although days before its existence was leaked).
The big surprise of the announcement has been knowing the release date of Resident Evil 3 Remake: on April 3, 2020, such a short period of time that has raised a question. How is it possible to have an AAA ready just a few months after Resident Evil 2? The answer seems obvious: the development of both titles initially occurred in parallel.
Although the initial plan would have been to launch both remakes at the same time to the market, it seems that Capcom would have decided to delay the arrival of Resident Evil 3, according to the insider Imran Khan from the Kinda Funny Games program
If Imran Khan's information is true, it would explain the high level of detail that Resident Evil 3 Remake presents in the trailer shown in the recent State of Play, something that seems to it can hardly be achieved in just 14 months. Maybe one day we will know from Capcom itself from when they have both titles in development.
