Today is a special day for us at Io Interactive. During the state of play today, we officially unveiled 007 First Light, our next third-person action-adventure action-adventure game focused on an autonomous reimagination of the origin of James Bond, coming out in 2026.

It's bond as you have never seen it before – the youngest that Bond fans have never met. In 007, first light, at only 26 years old, it is not the 007 in its own right, you know the days of tuxedo and Martini but a man with net, sometimes reckless instincts, who always learns when fighting, when bluff, and when disappearing in the shadows.
In 007 First Light, Bond begins as an air crew of the navy, against all expectations, a daring act of bravery propels him into the most difficult training program of the MI6. This formation coupled with his natural instinct, his mind and his heart will see him become a spy in its own right. It is a completely original autonomous story, developed in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios.
Play like James Bond
The trailer gives you a taste of what will happen: you can browse the world and discover exciting places, mountains bordered by snow with beaches soaked in sun. You can of course meet and interact with some of the characters who have become synonymous with the James Bond franchise, such as M, Q, and Moneypenny.
You will also discover new ones, including Greenway, Bond's Mentor in this story, which will teach him the Modus Operandi pleaded for MI6 agents (or at least try!). With a varied gameplay mixing an intense fight, full -fledged driving, stealth and cutting -edge gadgets. You can fully immerse yourself in a world full of deception and danger, powered by our owner engine, the glacier.
Next 2026
007 First Light begins here, we will share details on the gameplay, the story and later this year. The game should be released on PlayStation 5 in 2026. 007 The first light will be improved for PlayStation 5 Pro, using PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) and having optimized performance, with the playable game at 60 IPS in quality mode.
