One of the most liked indies of 2020, Risk of Rain 2, receives its patch 1.1.1.2 today, one of the smallest so far, but also one of the ones that solves the most bugs and failures. The title was updated with a lot of content a few weeks ago and now it is simply time to offer changes that improve the quality of life of the player.
That’s why there are dozens of bugs fixed and two relevant gameplay changes, as well as balance adjustments. These revolve around the possibility of getting Radiant Pearl, the duration of the Resonant Disc and changes to the power of the Power Mode.
Simple improvements
The pearl will now be easier to find (20% chance) and its content can no longer be revealed previously. The disc will last 7 seconds and the Power Mode will now only reduce half the damage received, before it reduced 75% and the developers considered it to be too powerful as its name suggests.
Then we have two QoL (Quality-of-life) changes, the first is that the cargo area of the rescue ship is infinitely raised to the top. In other words, you can charge while floating in the air, a change that has been requested for a while. Additionally, the final boss battle will offer escape portals that will be much more visible and will “look more like portals”.
They are not too many changes, but they are the ones that many appreciate. To this must be added the solution to bugs related to the game crashing at certain stages, as well as the improvement of the stability of the game, which in theory will make it run better.
Risk of Rain 2 launched through Early Access in 2019 and officially released in August 2020. Now it is a title that is very loved by roguelike fans, and with this patch it is the perfect time to try it, so it is not a bad thing to recommend it. The game is available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
