Hi there! I am the manager of NExT Studios, the producer of Biped – our next co-op action game with a focus on the minute-to-minute workouts between the two players. Today, I'm so excited to share with you the release date of the game: April 8th!
The burial may have taken place on planet Earth, but in reality it is another planet in height and time, where humans are uninhabitable on this planet and breathing has created earth centers in the wild. At the beginning of the game, the galactic anomaly suddenly "turns off" the bright light on Earth, and it's in these little robots to go down to Earth, find beacons, and bring them back.
The game is made up of three parts: on a co-op trip, a solo tour, and an extra pro job. In a co-op tour designed for two players and covering a basic playbook in a balanced way, but the most challenging are the applications where all the experienced and skilled players learn when they will be most tested. You will also unlock many jewelry by collecting coins and buying them in the game store. This is anything but serious, meant to throw some extra fun into your time and game.
For the past two years, two of our developers have been trying to make a climbing game using ragdoll animation tech full of characters, such as Human Fall Flat. While understandable from this perspective, they found it very difficult to control and decided that the arms might not actually be needed, they chose to allow the two character's legs to do everything. And that's how the idea for Biped was born. When we first started working with Biped, we were trying to create more prototypes. We had a big pipe, long spies, stiff pumps … a two-legged dog. This is exciting because you can see so many opportunities. But it's also hard to choose which machines to put into the game.
Biped content is a shared platform. So we wanted a visual style to depict a warm, welcoming, and sad world where players could experience an emotional adventure. It's colorful, easy on the eyes, and hopefully it will provide a laid back challenge to the game's otherwise sought-after challenges.
We've tried to make our game a reality for everyone! The control scheme and basic mechanics of this game are so simple and straightforward that everyone, in all ages, has never had problems picking it up and having a fun time right away. Not only does this game excel in bed-to-bed interactions between friends and family, but it also works with magic where strangers completely bond in pairs and are forced to cooperate for the first time. It brings out within us compassion for all of us.
One thing we want the players to focus on is the small displays of the various NPCs in the game, who have many unpleasant personalities. One day, one of our game's designers made a little boy who throws coins while complaining about trying to get tired of him. If you are familiar with old school Capcom-skolling, you can also understand where this comes from. We decided to keep this in the last game, along with many other Easter eggs you can find while traveling.
It's nice to finally talk about Biped – thanks to everyone who has read this article. If you find Biped interesting and want to know more, please take a look at Prohibition on PS4 when it launches next week!
