Kratos is one of the most loved characters by the PlayStation gaming community. Users were delighted with the return of the series a few years ago for PS4 with God of War. Shortly after, Santa Monica Studio announced the sequel God of War: Ragnarok and now we know that new rumors indicate that this sequel would have been delayed in terms of its launch.

After its official announcement on September 16, 2020, little has been revealed about the game that should have gone on sale in 2021. We still do not know if this delay would take it to 2022 or it would be a delay for a later date in 2021.

The information was revealed by Jason Schreier who commented that this announcement is likely to be made next week when the game will be discussed publicly.

It is not the first time that there has been talk about the possibility that God of War: Ragnarok has been delayed. Previously, it had been speculated with this same possibility due to the absence of news related to the game that does not have a release window, something that is usually common in games that are in very early stages of their development.

This news could be very negative for many users, but in the end it represents a wise decision that could prevent the game from presenting problems in the style of Cyberpunk 2077 once it is released.

To this we must add that Sony has more than 20 games under development, so there will be other options for users from here to the expected God of War: Ragnaork goes on sale. So the sequel will most likely be released sometime in 2022 for the PlayStation 5, Sony’s powerful new console.
