After many years in development that led users to think that the remake of ‘Final Fantasy VII’ had been canceled, 2020 was the year in which the title went on sale. This reimagining of the PlayStation One classic was everything users expected and more. In fact, it was in the top 10 most searched games on Google in 2020.
One of the few negative points of the game is that unfortunately it was not released in its entirety and we only got to test the first part of the adventure. Now we know new details of the second installment of ‘Final Fantasy VII Remake’. The information was revealed by Yoshinori Kitase in a interview with Famitsu in which the Square Enix producer commented that the second installment is in development without any problems.
Advancing at a good pace
In the same way, Kitase commented that the new world of this version of ‘Final Fantasy VII’ is just beginning, so we can expect a lot of new things compared to the original version of the late nineties. At the moment we do not know the release date for this installment, but it is likely that the earliest that it can reach the consoles will be at the end of 2021 or if not in 2022. It must be considered that since they are such ambitious games Square Enix usually invest many hours of work in them.
The truth is that it is positive to know that the progress of the game progresses without any problems, something that its first part could not boast at any time of its long and eventful development. It only remains to hope to have more information from Square Enix of ‘Final Fantasy Remake’, a title that is available exclusively for PS4 and works thanks to backward compatibility with PS5.
