The Dark Pictures Anthology franchise has grown incredibly since its first release in 2019, The Man of Medan. Then we got Little Hope and now it’s House of Ashes. So Supermassive Games goes to game by year, each one looks more amazing than the other and this one has an unexpected setting.
It will be located in the Iraq war in 2003, just when an American squad is trapped between ruins and enemy fire. The combat triggers an earthquake within the ruins that ends up awakening a primal evil that begins to hunt the characters regardless of sides or races.
Annual proposal
Next week, on May 27, we will see the first gameplay trailer, but for now we will have to settle with this first teaser trailer and four new images that have been shared through the Press release. The title looks pretty good so we imagine that what is shown is running on a new generation PC or console.
Buried deep underground, something unearthly awaits…

If House of Ashes is played like the previous ones, then we are facing a graphic adventure in which the actions have been through QTEs and we can enjoy a kind of interactive movie with various endings, so it would have a tremendous replayability. Previous games were streamer favorites, so this one may be the same.
We remember that this franchise delves into terror and uses known tropes of the genre, in addition the teaser trailer is already a declaration of intent. The terror of war is suddenly transformed into fantastic terror and, but the goal is the same: to survive.
The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes llegará a PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S y PC.
