The new trailer for ‘What If…?’ demonstrates the strange new fate of T’Challa, who will no longer be the King of Wakanda, but Star-Lord for the second episode of the Disney Plus series.
The premiere of ‘What If…?’ It took place just last week, but just one episode has shown us just how extensive the antics of the multiverse are.
The release showed us what Captain America would look like if it had been Peggy Carter who took the super soldier serum, which evidently results with a change in that timeline, and, of course, no Bucky Barnes as the Winter Soldier.
Now, it is the turn of another change in the facts: T’Challa became the “leader” of the Guardians of the Galaxy and not in Black Panther, for the same reason it is quite likely that other changes are coming.
Beyond being exciting to see the parallel universes that exist in the MCU, this episode could represent Chadwick Boseman’s last appearances as Black Panther, as he provided his voice for animation.
In case you’re wondering: How does T’Challa end up in space and not Peter Quill? Well, the answer can be obtained in the episode. However, as we do not like to leave them with the intrigue, we tell them that the reason is because the Ravagers passed through Wakanda, not through Missouri.
This appearance of T’Challa and Boseman leaves us wondering about the advances of ‘Black Panther 2’, a production that has already confirmed its premiere stage and has revealed that there will be no replacement for Black Panther, instead the role will be taken by his sister, the incredible Shuri, played by Letitia Wright.
We just have to wait until tomorrow to see Boseman return to the MCU, just not exclaiming the epic: “Wakanda Forever.” What other changes are you dying to see as part of ‘What If…?’
