Hello again, tamers, and welcome back to the archipelago. The wait is over and the eagerly awaited island of Cipanku opens its doors tomorrow for all tamers to discover and enjoy.
In case you missed it, Temtem is a colorful creature-gathering MMO where you’ll explore the Airborne Archipelago alongside your Temtem team. From tomorrow, you will have one more island to discover. Oh! We’re also going to be implementing activity cards for all of the quests in the game – we can’t wait to see what you think.
The rise of digital Temtem
Cipanku is an electric / digital themed island, where tradition and technology converge and blend. Cipanku is the first island to house Digital Temtem, a rare type of Temtem that humans created in Nanto Labs. Digital Tems come with their own new and exclusive features and techniques; they are the first to be weak towards themselves. Digital Tems are strong against Mental, Melee, and Digital types, and are weak against Water, Electric, and Digital types. They are also resistant to the toxic type.
Notable digital Tems that you may have already saved in your Tempedia include Oree, Zaobian, and the digital variant of Koish. We also disclosed a new digital tem called Molgu, and some electric tems like Raignet and the Sparzy line.
Catch a Mythic Temtem together
Cipanku also brings one of the most important features in the history of the game. Mythical Temtem. And the way to reach them, Lairs.
Lairs are a group activity, ranging from three to five players (five players are highly recommended), where you and your teammates can progress on your own paths for a chance to capture the Mythic Temtem. In Lairs, even though each player is given a different randomly generated path, all resources are shared and resource management is the real key to success in reaching the Mythic. To prove your skills as a tamer, instead of walking through the lair with your regular team, you need to train your team and Temtem inventory during the lair, and strategically think about when and what to bring with you.
Quick trip through the islands
Cipanku’s technological advancements will allow you to unlock one of the most requested features yet: teleportation. By completing a side quest in the town of Neoedo, you’ll unlock a nifty teleportation system that, in exchange for a fee, will allow you to instantly travel from many different hotspots across the archipelago. Teleports to any Narwhal airport, however, are free.
The best tips for success at Cipanku
For this update, we recommend that you get your team up to at least level 50, but as usual the higher the better! For team suggestions, Mudrid and Grumper are great allies, and a Nessla with Electric Synthesis should take you far as well. You can find them in Tucma, Kisiwa, and Deniz, respectively. On lairs, keep in mind that they can be redone as many times as needed until you complete them, but they are difficult. Do your best to save the key resources to unlock the Mythic Battle, or it will all be for naught.
We really hope you enjoy Cipanku and the first Temtem update on PlayStation 5. Temtem up.
