The new episode of ‘The Flash’ could give us answers of the Green Lantern clues that were seen during ‘Arrow’, by the character of John Diggle.
Everything seems to indicate that Diggle’s return to the Arrowverse is tied to a few explanations about his connection, or not, with the Green Lantern character, whose first hints we saw in ‘Arrow’.
Diggle is apparently returning to play a more than important role in ‘The Flash’, so we hope that the new chapter of the series that is coming to an end will help us answer a few questions about what was in the box that the character picked up at the end of ‘Arrow’.
If we take a walk through “memorie land”, we remember that at the end of ‘Arrow’, Diggle and Lyla decided to leave Star City and move with their family to Metropolis, however, the rhythm of the first changed when a meteorite fell near them and found a mysterious box that knocked him down with its power.
When Diggle finally managed to open the mysterious box, a green light peeled off and flashed across the character’s face, automatically leading our minds to think of Green Lantern’s ring, and we assumed that he had been the one chosen to join. “the band”. However, until this moment there was no official confirmation of his future, or of his upcoming adventures.
In the recent promotion of episode number 16 of the seventh season of ‘The Flash’ we can see Diggle returning to STAR Labs, to put to work the plan to defeat Godspeed. In the scenes, you can see the same bright green light on the character’s face, which we don’t see as a coincidence.
It is difficult to measure what is happening with Diggle, however, we believe that it is time that our doubts were addressed and that the truths came to light. After all, this is the last season of ‘The Flash’, and Diggle plans to continue appearing in productions like ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Superman & Lois’.
The Arrowverse could torture us and develop the Green Lantern theory later on, but we think that, with the Flash out, this character would make a nice addition to the parallel universe cast.
