A little more Hataraku Saibou
In Japan ‘Hataraku Saibou’ began its publication in January 2015 and ended in January 2021, with 6 volumes containing 30 chapters written and illustrated by Akane Shimisu.
His last arc told us how the coronavirus works, how it attacks the body and the defenses necessary to defeat it, giving the cells of the human body a well-deserved rest after the end.
The story recounts the lives of the thirty-seven billion cells within the human body that diligently perform their duties every day, from the perspective of Sekkekkyuu and Hakkekkyuu.
In the case of Sekkekkyuu AE3803, the red blood cell is new to her job, so she’s a bit clumsy, but also cheerful and excited to start delivering oxygen and collecting carbon dioxide despite her poor sense of direction. Meanwhile, Hakkekkyuu U-1146 is always ready to fight and kill any pathogens he encounters.
After meeting multiple times, they quickly become good friends, regardless of their contrasting personalities.
