If you ask a fan of The simpsons, probably the best animated series in the history of television, it will tell you that of all the video games released on the franchise created by Matt Groening, the best is without a doubt Los Simpson: Hit & Run. Although the action-adventure video game was released in 2003, all of its features and possibilities continue to place it among fan favorites.
Everyone will remember The Simpsons: Hit & Run as an open world game that, for the time, gave us a lot of freedom and few loading screens. However, the game of Radical entertainment he had several developer tips to come up with this scenario at the time. The map is divided into three areas which are not interconnected and, in fact, there were several loading screens. Now, thanks to a mod, these areas have been merged into one large complete map.
The mod for The Simpsons Hit & Run that connects the whole map
The modder known as Colou He uploaded his work so that title players can browse all areas without any cuts, being included in new areas that connect gag cards and interactive elements. After 18 years, we can finally enjoy the game without any kind of cut in his card. A luxury!
The modder continues to work on the game to suggest improvements in the future. For example, he confirmed that he would revamp the game’s campaign to take advantage of the new interconnected map, which also offers day and night environments.
Unfortunately, the game is not easy to find as it cannot be found in digital stores. Originally, the title was distributed by Vivendi, but after the purchase by Activision Blizzard, we don’t know who has the publication rights. In the past, its original producer, Vlad Ceraldi, has expressed interest in an official remaster of the game, but it appears that nothing has been done about it in recent years.
