While it seems like Grand Theft Auto is a success, the reality is that for Rockstar it was an idea to come after a first concept which, although it had some similarities to the final product, its proposal was going to come a lot more. early. under the name of Race’n’Chase, it is the first concept presented in its time by DMA Design.

The proposal of Race’n’Chase led us to present ourselves in an open world in which the player could choose two paths: be a criminal or choose to be the cop. With a bird’s eye view, players would have had the option of participating in a variety of game modes, ranging from speeding through town to police chases.

Despite three defined game modes, the testers tested the work, they indicated that it was a project to improveIn fact, he had plenty of room for it despite his ambition. Its mechanics were repetitive, and the studio itself felt the game was too similar to Syndicate Wars, so the product didn’t come to fruition as it should.

But while this isn’t a project that fits too tightly, there was an issue that caused those plans to change. And is Race’n’Chase contained a bug that caused the police to crash the car

With a bad reception, little by little Race’n’Chase has become a Grand Theft Auto.
