For those who are waiting to acquire the complete work, the eighth and last volume will arrive on December 27, 2021, placing an end to a story where friendship can conquer everything.
The manga written and illustrated by Amatou takes us to a small town where rumors tell of a girl who never grows up, who only goes out at night and lives in a mansion in the middle of the forest.
Some say that it is a living doll with a soul inside, but upon hearing this Akari Amano takes an interest in the girl and begins to search for her, only to end up walking lost in the middle of the darkness of a dark forest.
The vampire Sophie Twilight is the one who saves her from the situation, turning out to be the girl who is so much talked about in town. However, unlike vampires recounted in myths, Sophie does not attack humans.
Instead, the little vampire orders blood through the internet and Akari after knowing everything about her is instantly enchanted. With a porcelain doll appearance and an adorable personality, Akari decides to move in with Sophie, thus beginning their life together.
Amatou began publishing ‘Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san’ began in August 2014, featuring an animated adaptation produced by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ.
It had a total of 12 episodes that premiered in October 2018, with great popularity among Japanese TV viewers.
