According to various members of the Total War community, the second installment of Total Warhammer II has a broken interaction between cavalry and infantry. Apparently the problem has existed since the beginning of years but Creative Assembly has treated the issue as a feature rather than a bug.
Interaction is a problem for many and basically it goes like this: cavalry charges against infantry and the latter can do much more damage than those who go on horseback, when it should be the other way around. Everything is triggered when the infantry counterattacks a cavalry attack and in this interaction the bare-bones warriors always lose.
Empowered Infantry
According to the community, the nature of each class indicates that a confrontation between cavalry and infantry results in victory for those who are in a place elevated by the height of the horse. For its part, a Creative Assembly developer admitted
This resulted in infantry units being able to attack and always hitting those on horseback. The Reddit community demands a fix months ago, but there has been silence on the part of Creative Assembly, it is even possible that they do not consider it a failure.
Total Warhammer II has been in the market for 4 years and many expansions, in fact, this same year the last one, Silence and The Fury, came out. Since then, interest has shifted to expect Total Warhammer III, which will arrive at the end of the year.
However, this bug or functionality as you look at it, has focused the discussions in the last months of the game’s life and has even worried some in the face of Total Warhammer III.
