Time to breathe deeply and take the plunge: we are pleased to announce that the Extended Cut of our submersive adventure VR game, Freediver: Triton Down, is available now for $ 14.99 USD! Check out our new trailer above.
The original cut of Freediver: Triton Down was released on PC VR in May 2019; from underwater escaping from a sinking ship, to a floating-based swimming machine, to its VR Game of the Year proposal, it surprised players. Since then, we've heard your Freediver requests in VR, and now we're excited to share the Extended Cut created with the PlayStation community!
What does “Extension Cut” mean? While rebuilding Freediver: Triton Down for console VR, we had the opportunity to build on what made the first game great, while taking a look at some of the wild ideas that kept us refreshed last night.
For us, that meant turning off the lights, and the conflict escalating. (Yes, more than the original.) New levels of ships have been introduced and are in the dark, presenting an additional set of challenges to many of the puzzles you'll encounter. To help you smooth out the candy, we've added a light flashlight: its beam is strong, but there are dangers to the depth that a cool head and light bulb will save you from.
On top of all that, we listened to our first public request and added Sci-Fi-inspired content for Freediver: Triton Down even more. Triton with cover covered with lost sound logs of last days crewmepts Are their remains closed? What caused the force of the waves to send the fall of Triton down into the sea? And who – or what – is this mysterious figure called Emi?
We had a big blast back to the unsuspecting world of water under Freediver: Triton Down, and hope you enjoy escaping the Triton disaster just the way we like to get it out. So grab your Mov Administrators, get those swimming arms ready, and most of all: #DontForgetToBreathe.
