Turtle Rock Studios’ co-op shooter has been delayed from June to October. I hannounced the same study through Twitter arguing that the team needs more time to offer the most optimal experience to the players, so the game will now arrive in the fall.
In addition, it was revealed that there will be a beta in summer, so it would appear that the original launch rejection in June will now be the premiere of a beta instead of the title itself. In the future we will know how the game is doing with the criticism but for now it seems a good strategy to delay rather than launch an incomplete game
The founders return
Back 4 Blood has a curious history, PC Gaming fans will surely know Left 4 Dead, another game that used the pronunciation of the number four as a preposition in the title. Obviously the similarities don’t end there as Back 4 Blood is also a cooperative first-person zombie shooter.

And it was Turtle Rock the study that, helped by funding from Valve, created Left 4 Dead in 2008 and that gave life to a subgenre of zombies that is now more popular than ever. Shortly after they released Left 4 Dead 2 and finally parted ways with Valve and at the time it was said that they retained the rights to the franchise.
However, this Back 4 Blood is not called Left 4 Dead 3 so surely there are many things that we do not know. In any case, the community already sees Back 4 Blood as the new Left 4 Dead, so expectations are quite high, which is why this delay has attracted a lot of attention.
The game is expected to be a true revolution, a step up from similar shooters since this same study brought them to life so they have probably had a lot of time (more than a decade) to think about how to innovate.
Back 4 Blood llegará a PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S.
