The new generation of consoles surprises us in many and varied ways. While we’ve had a few striking releases already that deserve our attention, there are other great releases that are still waiting for their chance. But what is clear is that the new generation not only brings us a lack of loading time or even some interesting proposals in terms of sensations, but its controls have ended up being one of the big attractions.
One of the most striking of this generation was presented with PlayStation 5. Of course we are talking about DualSense, a command that we thought of feeling the games. And despite the fact that currently not all of its functions are compatible with PC, this is something that is constantly being worked on so that the new generation of consoles is also present on the PC. For this reason, now that the Sony remote control is already compatible with PC, especially thanks to the constant work in the Valve store, now is the time to know the step by step to follow.
Connect DualSense to the PC using the cable
We start with one of the simplest options and the one that will require the least of our attention. After all, connecting the controller with a cable is the one that will give us the least headache, especially when the battery will not be an issue in our gaming session. Of course, you have to keep in mind that under no circumstances will you be able to disconnect the cable in your game since Bluetooth will not be an option. For this configuration all you need to do is:
First, take the cable that came with DualSense, a Type C connector.
Then connect your controller to the PC and wait for Windows to recognize it.
After a few seconds of setup, you will be able to start using your remote.
This process can be a bit more complex, especially because it requires a few preliminary steps. But you have nothing to worry about because it will be just as easy for anyone to do. Of course, before you start, make sure have the console completely unplugged Or, if you don’t want to turn it off completely, keep it far enough away that it doesn’t turn on when you press the “PS” button. On the other hand, make sure that your computer has the option of using Bluetooth or an adapter handy. If you meet all the requirements, follow these simple steps:
First, open the settings menu of “Bluetooth and other device settings”.
Click on the “Add Bluetooth or other device” option.
Once the PC begins searching, press the “PlayStation” button and the “Share” button at the same time until the lights start to flash.
On the screen you will see the “Wireless Controller” device that you have to click and that’s it. Your DualSense remote control is already connected to the PC.
Configure DualSense on Steam
While Steam is already working on a perfect adaptation to make the PS5 controller fully compatible, there are still some points to improve. However, there are more and more options that it guarantees, so if you want to try your luck and enjoy Steam games with the best quality, here are the steps you can take:
First open “Steam”, then click on the “View” menu.
Enter “Settings”.
In the “Account” section, find the “Beta Participation” section and enter “Edit”.
From the drop-down menu, enter “Steam Beta Update” and click “OK”.
Restart the client to load the beta version.
Now, with the controller connected, open “Big Picture” in Steam.
Once inside you will see that already instantly recognizes the DualSense remote control. From there you can also configure certain aspects such as buttons or even joystick sensitivity.
