The new season of Rainbow Six Siege is just around the corner and today we could see the first imagess of Mina “Thunderbird” Sky, the new operator of the game that will arrive in a month. We barely got a glimpse of her today, but Ubi plans to reveal everything, including her abilities on May 23, so it won’t be long.
Thunderbird belongs to the Nakoda tribe, indigenous to California, so it is a character that has a strong spiritual connection with its ancestors. At least that’s how Nomad defines her, another character in the game who make a report about Thunderbird in which he suggests his recruitment. Nomad also mentions that Thunderbird always carries cutting edge technology that helps heal his companions in battle.
Support character
For practical purposes Thunderbird will function as a support character, we do not know his abilities but his motto is to know how to heal a wound that you have caused, so we can imagine that he will act as a war medic. This could not hurt the game since the support characters or healers are quite scarce in this genre, although also more difficult to play.

The new season will be called North Star and it would arrive in mid-June, so we still have a month or so to wait before we can test Thundebird. In her teaser trailer we see her in a helicopter with her voiceover describing her way of doing things, “with speed and precision”.
If something Ubisoft has done well with Rainbow, it has been to characterize each character well, each one has a story that connects with us, and most likely on the 23rd we will see a new animated short like the one we already saw of Flores, a professional thief. . Full disclosure will be made through Twitcth.
