Ubisoft announced a couple of delays on Friday with one of them moving the Riders Republic release date forward out of September. However, the good news for those planning to get the game is that the new date is not too far off from when the game would originally launch. Ubisoft said that instead of launching on September 2, Riders Republic will now launch on October 28 with no changes to planned launch pads.
The announcement of the delay was shared on social media with a Ubisoft blog post detailing the decision. The post laid out the expected language of these delays referencing tough decisions and the desire to make the game its best before handing it over to the players. It also appears that Ubisoft has revised their beta strategies with plans to give players another shot at the game’s pre-release in addition to the initial beta to come.

“To ensure that we can deliver the best game for all players, we have made the difficult decision to push back our release date from September 2 to October 28,” said Ubisoft. “This will give us more time to fine-tune the experience and give you another opportunity to participate before launch and provide feedback.”
The “another chance to jump in before launch” part of the statement is suggesting that there will be an additional preview opportunity along with the beta that will start soon. Dates for the first multiplayer beta have yet to be announced, but registration is open for “betas,” again suggesting that players will have multiple opportunities to play.
The other Ubisoft delay announced on Friday concerned Rainbow Six Extraction, a game that suffered a much longer delay compared to Riders Republic’s. Rainbow Six Extraction was delayed until January 2022 after it was initially supposed to launch in September. The pair of delays continues a trend of release dates moving that are not exclusive to Ubisoft in any way during last year’s development challenges, but with Far Cry 6 being similarly delayed last year, this is. far from the first delay that Ubisoft has had to announce.
Riders Republic will now launch on October 28 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X platforms | S, PC and Google Stadia.
