The official trailer for Season 1 was released for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, which will arrive on December 16, 2020.
The Warzone and Black Ops Cold War season 1 trailer released today, after a lengthy Easter egg hunt by the community. The search consisted of content creators working together to discover a coded message that was sent to them from a radio.
Throughout the journey, we had to decode multiple messages on www.673763436741.com, which led to various mini-games and puzzles, including a cool RC-XD video game.
After solving the final message, we were given the link to a private YouTube video containing the trailer for Season 1 of Warzone and Black Ops Cold War. The trailer shows various story developments coming to the game while giving us a sneak peek at the new maps coming to Season 1.
In the trailer, we see Russell Adler come face to face with an old KGB enemy, Vikhtor “Stitch” Kuzmin. Stitch had previously been the creator of the Nova 6 gas, on Rebirth Island, which was raided by American forces and overpowered.
Stitch had been taken prisoner by Adler and tortured, which resulted in her hatred of him. Stitch was subsequently sentenced to time in the Gulag by Kravchenko for dropping the island.
It was during this time that Stitch plotted revenge against Adler, which later led him to plan an attack to prime Adler on US soil by placing multiple Nova 6 bombs in a shopping mall located in New Jersey. The trailer ends midway through the showdown, with Adler and his squad completely encased by Stitch’s forces.
While the trailer mainly shows elements of the story that occur after the main campaign of Black Ops Cold War, it shows us a new Mall map and shows the map of Rebirth Island that will arrive in Warzone.
Alongside the map of the mall, we should also see the release of 4 Gunfight maps in Black Ops Cold War, a remastered of the Raid map and operators and cosmetics in the Battle Pass.
