Hello travelers! Your Genshin Impact development team is back, bringing you the latest information on Shadows Amidst Snowstorms version 2.3 which will be released on November 24th. As winter approaches in Teyvat, we have planned a series of challenges and activities in the snow across Dragonspine. Meanwhile, Inazuma’s Bantan Sango detective agency is also calling for help with investigation and rescue operations regarding the mysterious mass disappearances of small animals.

With version 2.3, we would also like to bring more friends, old and new, to join your adventure. Albedo and Eula will return, and Arataki Itto and Gorou will also join the game as new playable characters.

Genshin Impact Version 2.3: Winter Camp at Dragonspine

Biting cold training

Covered in snow all year round, Dragonspine is a huge frozen mountain range south of Mondstadt. In this season’s event, Shadows Amidst Snowstorms, the Adventurers Guild has decided to hold a winter training camp in this region, and old friends like Albedo and Eula will also make an appearance in the story. It’s time to sharpen your skills, enjoy the snowy weather, and earn plenty of rewards including the new 4-star Cinnabar Sword Rocket to upgrade your characters.

The special Dragonspine training will offer participants three different types of challenges. The first is Agility Training, which will put your speed to the test on specially designed race tracks with various buffs, collectible seals, and obstacles. The second challenge is the Tracker training which requires participants to spot and melt certain piles of ice crystals to collect snowman components. If you’re already a seasoned treasure hunter who never misses a chest, this one should be a snap. Finally, we have combat training. You will find special decoys emitting cold air, buffing a large number of enemies around. If you get closer, the Sheer Cold will also pile up at a faster rate. Fortunately, you can switch the decoys to heat source mode by activating all three mechanisms around you while wearing scarlet quartz.

However, before you jump into the challenges and rewards, make sure you survive the cold first. Besides your HP and stamina, you need to pay special attention to your Pure Cold Bar in Dragonspine. Without any heat source, Sheer Cold will build up, and once the bar is full, your character will continually lose HP.

But no real snow day is complete without a snowman. During the Dragonspine special training, you can get various snowman components to create your puffy snowmen in the game. You can also trade snowman components with friends and even bring them to the Serenitea pot. to add a seasonal touch to your kingdom.

Creatures big and small

At the eastern end of Teyvat, across the sea, massive disappearances of small animals have raised concern among residents of Inazuma. In the Bantan Sango Case Files: The Warrior Dog event, you can lend a hand to help these missing creatures return home.

Oddly enough, a mysterious dog and its illusory copies, the Canine Bunshin, appear to be patrolling and guarding some of the extinct animals. To bring them back, you have to sneak past the guard dogs and drive your target away with a special gadget ubiquity net. You can also distract the watchdogs by judiciously using smoke machines and fireworks. The other missing animals appear to be trapped in a place called the Thieves’ Lair. Defeat all opponents to free them!

Along with Primogems and Resources, you will also be rewarded with the Omni-Ubiquity Net once the event is over. This new gadget can capture the essence of some smaller creatures and replicate their shapes in the Serenitea pot. You can find out which creatures can be recreated by the Net by consulting the archives. Speaking of new residents, you can also invite Paimon to your kingdom with the latest update. As a guest, of course.

While travelers are busy saving cute little animals, a huge and dangerous monstrous beast, the Golden Wolflord has also emerged as the new boss of Tsurumi Island. As the King of Rifthounds and Rifthound Whelps, the Golden Wolflord can also apply Corrosion status, causing all characters in your party to continually lose HP regardless of their shield. At the same time, the Golden Wolflord can also summon Rifthound skulls for protection. In the final stage of the battle, the Wolf Lord’s attack increases further as his resistance to geo attacks decreases. So, different team building strategies can affect the way you fight this fierce monster.

Old and new friends

Humans aren’t the only intelligent life in Teyvat’s world, and our characters come from different backgrounds and backgrounds as well. We have already met Xiao and many other followers in Liyue. This time around, the new five-star playable character we’d like to introduce to you is an Oni from Inazuma – Arataki Itto.

Arataki Itto appears to have a strong will to win, whether it’s a ramen-eating contest with a fox-eared lady, playing games with kids, or his revenge challenge against Kujou Sara. Kujou Sara, the general of the Tenryou Commission, once shot him down and confiscated his vision under the vision hunting decree. But without a doubt, Arataki Itto has his unique charisma. We’ve heard that he even created his own crew, the Arataki Gang.

In combat, Arataki Itto also possesses powerful attacks, wielding a huge Claymore and the power of Geo. His normal attacks and elemental potency can be very convincing. Itto can gain superlative Superforce charges with his normal attacks and elemental skill. Each stack of Superlative Superforce allows him to reduce an empowered charged attack, the Arataki Kesagiri, and once the last stack is consumed, a particularly powerful attack will be unleashed. With his Elemental Burst, Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil, Itto lets his inner Raging Oni King emerge, using his Oni King’s Kanabou in battle. When Itto transforms into the Raging Oni King, his normal, charged, and diving attacks will be converted to geo damage. Additionally, Itto’s elemental and physical RES decrease, while his ATK increases based on his DEF, and his normal attack speed will also increase.

Gorou will join as a new four-star character in the same wish event with Itto. The great general of the Watasumi Island force is actually younger than many of his subordinates, but he has earned the trust of his comrades and the Traveler in Inazuma’s story. Gorou also uses a Geo Visio, but he prefers the bow and can improve his teammates in combat. His Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst deal AoE geo damage and buff characters on the field. In addition, the more Geo characters there are in your party, the more bonus Gorou can offer.

The two new characters are also useful in gathering resources. Itto’s exploration talent, Woodchuck Chucked, will give you a better chance of getting an extra log of wood, and Gorou’s talent, Seeker of Shinies, can display the location of nearby resources unique to Inazuma on the mini-map. You can learn more about their personalities through Itto’s Story Quest or Gorou’s Hangout Event. Beidou’s Hangout event will also be available.

In addition to new characters, you also have the option to recruit Albedo and Eula during the previous phase of version 2.3. Two Character Event Wishes will be available at the same time that Albedo and Eula are both ready for a replay, sharing the same number of cumulative draws towards the 5 Star Drop Guarantee. The Wish event for Arataki Itto and Gorou will come after.

Our share for version 2.3 is finished for the moment, but more friends, more stories and more adventures await you in the world of Teyvat. We are very happy to see you again soon at Dragonspine!
