The writer and director of ‘What If…?’, AC Bradley and Bryan Andrews stated in a conversation with Collider that they were about to include a crossover of ‘Star Wars’ within the plot of the Marvel animated series for Disney Plus .
One of the reasons why ‘What If…?’ It is such an interesting proposition because literally anything can happen. In the trailers we have seen Peggy Carter as Captain America, but the possibilities are endless.
The series will begin airing on Disney Plus on August 11. But what would the response have been like if the ‘Star Wars’ crossover was part of the production narrative line? Well, Bradley and Andrews leave the door open.
There has always been talk of the moment when Marvel and Lucasfilm come together, beyond the special for the ‘Loki’ series, now, although the leading pair of the production admits that it is not confirmed, we must keep our eyes open, since “The sky is the limit”.
If you ask us about different scenarios in which Marvel and ‘Star Wars’ can come together, we have several in mind. Like, for example, an alliance between Luke Skywalker and Thor, or, Baby Yoda together with Baby Groot understanding each other in their very particular languages.
While these are all assumptions, and even the writers admit that they should not be hopeful, but keep an open mind, we believe that ‘What If …?’ it is one of those series that have the extension properties.
Instead of thinking about how everything can be seen in this first season, we must go further. A second season with Tron within the plot, and, of course? A third season with ‘The Simpsons’ as part of the story.
The important thing is that the MCU continues to bring innovative proposals to the table, and that the fan continues to trust Marvel’s decisions, so we cross our fingers so that there are no failures in their plans.
