Ziggurat y Empty Clip Studios will publish this Full Motion Video that it will restore and develop. It is a game with a curious history since it was never officially published on the Jaguar CD. Its premiere was scheduled for 1996 but the commercial failure of the console prevented us from seeing its launch. Shortly after, new scenes were shot to be released as a movie, but the original reel was damaged on set, so all work was lost.
Eventually the game would leak on the internet, it was a very early and incomplete version that was also released on PC and worked through emulators. Therefore, the game never had a planned release and is now a lost title that can only be played clandestinely.
American parody
Now the idea is to restore it entirely using this material, now public, with the help of Timothy Bottoms who was already the protagonist of the original and who returns to record his voice over the old scenes. In addition, other well-known actors such as Daniel Roebuck and Musetta Vander will join, so American Hero will try to return in a big way.
The game revolves around Jack, a former CIA agent who is involved in a mission to find a biologist who has a plan to control the United States with a virus. We will be able to choose many paths during the story and there are several endings, so it is what the video game industry has always called “interactive movie”.

We believe this was the best approach to resurrect the game and allow players the opportunity to experience a title that was never released to the public. “
The companies involved have not revealed a release date or the consoles to which it will arrive, although at least they confirmed that it will arrive on PC and that Limited Run Games will launch a physical version.
