We’ve hinted at it a few times in our monthly community updates, but now it’s official. Starting today, all Xbox Insider release notes will be migrated from our blog here on Xbox Wire to the Xbox Support site! This change has been in the works for some time and we’re excited to finally bring it to market. This move will not only result in a more cohesive user experience with all Xbox ecosystem release notes available in one place, but it will also free up space for us to produce more (different! new!) content on the blog itself. We have big plans for the coming months, so stay tuned for more information!
But what does this mean for all Xbox insiders? Well, you can still expect the same fantastic preview update coverage for console and PC, just in a different location. Each release note will be familiar to those who follow our social media, but they have a slightly new look.
We’ve also ensured that release notes are categorized by an easy-to-navigate historical point in time, making it much easier to find older release information. Everything starts with the new Xbox Insider Home Page.
From this hub you will find links to both the console release notes directory and PC. Let’s take a quick look at the console flow named: Xbox update preview
Clicking on it will bring up the Console Search page, where you can choose which preview ring you want to search for. We have the invitation, so let’s choose alpha. (Note: The PC Gaming Preview does not have the same ring system as the console (for now), so PC users will skip straight to the next type of page.)
On each Ring page you’ll find some information about the Ring itself and some helpful links for reporting issues to our Xbox Insider team. You can also find the historical list of all release notes dating back to the beginning of 2024 here. Let’s click in Update from last week
We have come full circle. If you want to return to any of the previously mentioned pages, you can quickly navigate there using the “Related Topics” section on the right side of the screen.
We hope you enjoy these new release notes on the Xbox Support site. This is the first of several improvements we have planned to provide our Xbox Insiders with robust, informative updates. If you have any thoughts, comments or suggestions, please feel free to share them with us @xboxinsiders on Twitter/X; or come by r/XboxInsiders.
