These two are a match made in heaven.
Remember the new game console Atari seems to have been working hard? Well, it has been shipped to loyal consumers helping crowdfunding, and it turns out that it can play the hottest new version.
This was done via a video by YouTuber Kevin Kenson (spotted by GamesRadar), who managed to Cyberpunk 2077 Run on hardware. Atari VCS is almost just a microcomputer, which can be booted to Windows through the PC mode of the console, which means it can play any content that an ordinary PC can play. Therefore, they had to try to run Cyberpunk 2077 on it.

Given that Cyberpunk 2077 is now rolling down like a turf on most hardware, running so fast that Sony pulled the game from its PlayStation store, that’s not to say that much.
Given that VCS doesn’t really boast of the highest-end specs, nor is it really designed to run like Cyberpunk 2077, it’s not surprising that it only runs games at ultra-low frame rates.
Atari VCS (originally known as Ataribox) was launched in 2017 for an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, and the hardware will come out in the spring of 2018. As you know, this product has encountered some scheduling problems, and there are other dramas. The same can be said for Cyberpunk 2077, so maybe the two are very suitable.
Before the Indiegogo event was finally launched in May 2018, the hardware was renamed Atari VCS at GDC 2018. The project raised US$3 million, which greatly exceeded its target of US$100,000.
