Samsung is not slowing down in this time before CES 2021 either and just like Sony is introducing TV models, in this case Neo QLED.

Samsung is therefore presenting its new Neo QLED televisions, namely a mini LED backlight system here. Because yes, we have to find new names for the new year. The main difference to the more traditional high-end LCD is the use of a backlight system consisting of several thousand mini LEDs. Result? Better management of contrasts and blacks.
A qualitative upscaling
Those televisions in question also use a new processor here, namely the Samsung Neo Quantum, which allows for better scaling between SD, HD, Ultra HD and 8K content.
According to Samsung, the processor is also very interested in rendering in very dark and light areas. During the presentation we learned that this processor ensures the processing of luminance on 12 bits, ie 4096 shades.
There are currently two Neo Qled models: the Samsung QN90A 4K Ultra H and the QN900A 8K Ultra. We don’t know the sizes or prices yet, but it should be several thousand dollars.
