Activision has updated his blog with a new entry that reveals the news coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War for the first season. Remember that the title was released with the so-called “season 0”, so this would really be the second season.
According to the publisher, this will be the biggest update the game has received since its launch. This will include two new maps for multiplayer, a new game mode for zombies mode, a new map for that same mode, a brand new operator and promotions related to the weapon experience.
Multiplayer news
It will not be released all at the same time, multiplayer today receives Sanatorium, the new map that divides players into ten groups of four operators to fight for a goal, land, sea and air. While on February 4 will arrive Express that will divide the players into a small 6vs6 map in which the teams will fight near the tracks of a train.
In terms of game modes, Dropkick is available in multiplayer right now. In this mode you will fight to get a briefcase with nuclear launch codes. If you take the briefcase you can use a powerful weapon, but in theory your companions must protect you until you can use the codes.
If you die while your team controls the briefcase, you will not appear again until the one with the briefcase dies. The first to reach 200 points (with the help of the missiles) will win.
Zombies mode
In zombies mode we get Cranked today, a new game mode in which we have to kill zombies according to a counter. If this reaches zero and we have not eliminated any, we will lose.
For their part, PS4 and PS5 users can play Onslaught exclusively and receive the Raid map today and Express February 4. They only described how Raid works and it is basically how the rest have worked, only that we can transport ourselves through different areas to get bronze, silver and gold records.
Finally, Activision reminds us that all the zombies mode, even the exclusive ones from Sony, will be available to everyone for free from January 14 to 21.
