The games that take up the most space on your SSD or hard drive
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 and Cold War
Without a doubt, this is the game with the most textures taking up the most space on our precious storage device. After patches and substitutes, the game reaches 231 GB in total, forcing the user to opt for a hard drive or SSD of at least 512 GB to install Windows and its programs.
Cold War is also at the top, as with the latest patches and 4K texture fixes it may become the heaviest game in history, as almost 250GB has been seen.
Hitman 2
It’s a more than veteran game and until last year it was number one on the list which is really amazing considering the release date. The texture packs and the great optimization of the game are to blame as it is around 150 GB, a real madness.
Tom Clancy´s Rainbow Six: Siege and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
Here you could say that there is almost a technical connection, because after the launch of the Microsoft game and the successive patches both titles weigh 130 GB and so far it does not look like they are going to be ousted.
Red Dead Redemption 2
One of the games most awaited by fans of the saga and which has not disappointed anyone, it is also in charge of positioning itself in the top 5 titles with the most space on a storage device. And we are currently talking about over 120 GB with intermediate updates. The difference with the rest of the opponents is that in this case the quality of the game justifies it for the majority of users.
Borderlands 3 and ARK: Survival Evolved
Two other games that are fighting for an honorary position, and they’re around 117GB right now, but since they get so many fixes and improvements or updates, that number hovers in both, they can’t therefore not be placed one in front of the other.
GTA V and Battlefield V
Both games typically take up around 90-93GB respectively, where it looks like Battlefield V has taken the lead around this time with its latest update. These are also two widely played games that aren’t light at all, although their quality really justifies them.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey
Finally, we have another legendary game which now occupies a little less than when it was released, since it is around 85 GB on average. In some cases, the figure is surprisingly reduced to 70 GB, depending on how many fixes installed appear to be.
