Apex Legends Season 8: Mayhem launches early next month on February 2. As veteran players will no doubt know by now, a new season means a new character, and this newcomer is named Fuse. Respawn Entertainment has revealed a trailer for the Fuse origins story, showing the backstory to the laid-back explosives enthusiast.
Elsewhere in Season 8: Mayhem, King’s Canyon will undergo changes again. The original Apex Legends map is undergoing a review for the second time, but we currently don’t know the finer details on what in particular will change on the original map.
Season 8 is scheduled to coincide with the second anniversary of Apex Legends on February 2. Without a doubt, Apex Legends feels like it’s been around for well over two years right now, but maybe that’s the COVID-19 / crash that throws my perception of time out of control.
Finally, Respawn has introduced the 30-30 Repeater, a new lever action rifle joining Apex Games with the new season. This is all pretty standard news for Apex veterans at this point: each season is heralded by the arrival of a new character, a new weapon, and map changes (if not a completely new map).
Outside of that, we can likely look forward to a new Battle Pass when Apex Legends Season 8: Mayhem launches next month on February 2. Respawn has yet to announce or reveal the new Battle Pass, but you can bet the developer will have the curtain draw on new details for Season 8 in the coming weeks.
