Unsurprisingly: King Football also ruled the gaming sector again in 2020. FIFA 21 from EA was the best-selling game in 2020 – and was thus able to successfully defend the crown from the previous year. Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Switch, which is also hugely successful worldwide, follows in second place. Separated from this, surprising: With Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and GTA V, two absolute long-running hits follow in 3rd and 4th place, which were not only re-released in 2020. These left the well-known Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War behind, for example.
