One of the more minimalist Android launchers of recent years is getting an update that not only improves its functions, but also stabilizes it: Niagara Launcher is no longer beta. Simple interface, perfect for one-handed use and without unnecessary additions beyond what is essential to launch applications.
Choosing a different interface than what the manufacturer includes in the phone usually leads to options like Nova Launcher and others, as these are the apps that offer the most customization options. In turn, they also increase the complication since configuring them to taste can be an odyssey

The name ‘Niagara’ is taken from the appearance the launcher takes when moving the alphabetical column: the interface curves like a waterfall to offer all the apps corresponding to the letter. This way it’s easy to access an app that isn’t a favorite (up to eight apps can be docked at the start), either from the right side of the screen or from the left area. Of course, gesture navigation makes it difficult to use the launcher.
Niagara Launcher kills desktops and limits shortcuts to eight favorites, it minimizes widgets (it has options for calendar and time, both in the pro version) and it presents notifications right at the start: favorite apps can show the number of pending reviews.
Despite extreme minimalism, this does not mean that Niagara Launcher is no longer customizable, on the contrary: the interface supports icon packs, you can change the font, shape type of shortcuts, size of elements and it also has dark mode. It even allows you to vary the color of the texts to match the wallpaper, for example.
The application is free for basic use, you don’t need any more to use it. And, as usual, it offers advanced features that are unlocked during payment: in the form of subscription (3.99 dollars per year with two months trial) and full purchase (currently 10.99 dollars) . Whether used for free or paid Niagara Launcher is missing ads.
