Gamesindustry.biz reports that Rockstar Leeds founder Gordon Hall died at the age of 51 is. The studio is known for GTA Chinatown Wars, which appeared for PSP, Nintendo DS and smartphones.
Farewell to one of the greats in the video game industry
Gordon Hall started his career in 1997 with the establishment of Möbius Entertainment, which developed games for the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance. This also included the GBA version of Max Payne, distributed by Rockstar Games in 2003.
In the same year, Take-Two Interactive bought the studio. It was renamed Rockstar Leeds. Under this label and under the continued leadership of Gordon Hall, among other things, the games were created GTA: Liberty City Stories and GTA: Chinatown Wars. Ports from Midnight Club 3
In 2007, Gordon Hall announced that it was moving handheld game development to next-gen titles. The first project was the Windows port of LA Noire, which appeared in 2011. In between he even worked on Red Dead Redemption in 2009.
Hall left rock star Leeds in 2011to take some time out. He used this time to develop strategies for microtransactions before rejoining Activison Blizzard as head of a mobile division.

“Gordon was just brilliant, incredibly motivating and always positive. His pursuit of perfection was breathtaking and he built great, trusting bonds with those who chose to work by his side.
As a close friend, he was really inspiring and, from a social point of view, a truly energetic one-of-a-kind that could entertain endlessly and was easy on everyone. Gordon will be sorely missed. ”
Gordon Hall leaves behind a son.
