A new trailer for Genshin Impact shows off Eula’s poise and graceful combat. Eula will launch tomorrow after the Zhongli banner is finished.
Like most of the five-star characters that have been released for Genshin Impact, Eula was first revealed through leaks. Just before version 1.4 was released, well-known Genshin Impact experts dropped information revealing the full character designs of both Eula and Yanfei, who is a four-star Pyro character currently running on Zhongli’s banner.
Eula has yet to post, but all of her alleged information is online for fans to view and use for planning ahead, such as her Ascension, Constellations, and Passive Talents materials. Of course, some of this information could change when I publish it tomorrow, but insiders have been mostly in the money when it comes to leaked character information.
Genshin Impact’s demo, titled “Eula: Flickering Candlelight,” opens up to Eula breaking into disciplined dance moves, showcasing the elegant etiquette that influences her fighting style. The trailer then goes on to Spindrift Knight taking on his enemies and showing off the many moves fans have sadly already seen thanks to the leaks.
Eula’s talents focus on her abilities as a Cryo / Claymore character, and she is the first five-star to have this combination. Eula’s elemental ability is Icetide Vortex, which adds Cryo damage to Eula’s quick attacks and stacks up Grimheart. Grimheart increases his interrupt RES and his DEF. By consuming stacks of Grimheart, the surrounding opponents’ physical RES and Cryo’s RES decreased as Eula unleashed Cryo DMG.
His Elemental Blast, on the other hand, is called Glacial Illumination. The attack deals Cryo damage to nearby opponents and creates a Lightfall Sword that follows Eula for 7 seconds. The Lightfall Sword then descends and explodes, unleashing PHYSICAL DAMAGE on nearby enemies.
The ending of the Genshin Impact trailer has caused some controversy among fans. When Eula finishes her dance, she sees Amber looking at her and invites her to dance. Some fans have taken this to mean that Eula could be gay, especially since Amber can be heard panicking in the Japanese version of the trailer, while others defend that this is just a friendly encounter. This wouldn’t be the first time Genshin Impact has hinted at gay relationships in the game.
Also, some JRPG fans may recognize Eula’s Japanese voice actress Rina Sato, who is known for playing the role of Makoto in Persona 5. She has a pretty good resume under her belt in both anime and video games, but surely. He will impress fans as a veteran of the balanced leadership personality.
Eula’s banner arrives tomorrow, May 18, at 6pm server time. Genshin Impact is available for mobile devices, PC, PS4 and PS5 with a Switch version in development.
