The champion system will therefore arrive on May 20th with Update 1.7 and allow you to make further progress after level 50. So far, earned experience points beyond level 50 have not brought you anything.
With the new system, you can also improve your heroes in Marvel’s Avengers, because the normal XP from level 50 will become Champion XP. With each advancement in rank, you will receive a Champion Point, which can be used to unlock champion abilities.
