Brace yourself, Vault Hunters, because Borderland 3 Crossplay is here!
Thanks to today’s free update, Crossplay is now available for Borderland 3 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Mac, Stadia and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. There has never been a better time for you and your friends to go through the gunfire and looting chaos together! For more information on how to enable crossplay, see the game’s official website.
Today’s update isn’t all about crossplay, though. You’ll also find a number of other events and features, including the return of a fan-favorite seasonal event, permanent switching to seasonal events, and an increase in the level cap.
in the The vengeance of the cartels’ vengeance Seasonal event, your job is to eliminate the Cartel Agent’s enemies, which can be found in areas from the base game and the campaign add-ons. Slaying Agents activate a dead man’s switch that warps some cartel thugs who want to avenge their goddamn buddy. Once you’ve dispatched enough of these thugs and gathered hiding coordinates from their corpses, your Saurian buddy Maurice can open a portal to the main event: a showdown at the Villa Ultraviolet against the Kingpin of the Eridium Cartel himself, Joey Ultraviolet.
Speaking of seasonal events, with today’s Crossplay update Vault Hunters can now participate Endless seasonal events! You can access anyone Borderland 3seasonal themed events – Bloody harvest, Broken heart day, and The revenge of the cartels – when and for how long you want. A new option in the main menu lets you choose which of these three events to turn on or off, so you can hunt event-specific prey and enjoy pre-seasonal content whenever you want.
Today’s update also brings the finals of the True Trials Mini-Events and a new one Level cap increase. As of now through July 1 at 8:59 p.m. PT, the effects are from all six The True Trials mini-events will be active, giving you an additional week to defeat the six vastly improved bosses in the hunt for their designated legendary drops. And finally the Level cap has increased by seven levels to a maximum level of 72, meaning you have more potential skill points than ever before.
