The colorful and action-packed dodgeball spectacle is known to remain free-to-play and is intended to keep gamers engaged thanks to constant new game content. EA has now commented on the roadmap for the rest of 2021.
After a very successful start to Knockout City, fans of the dodgeball adventure are asking themselves: How does it go from here? Publisher EA and developer Velan Studios then gave more details in a blog entry in which a corresponding roadmap was published. This provides more detailed information on the further course of 2021 and the planned new content.
Accordingly, the second season begins on July 27th, and above all, it will bring you a completely new map. In addition, a new special ball, three events, new season contracts, five new playlists and a new daily registration bonus are planned for Season 2. The latter brings you a random reward every day you play Knockout City. This can be, for example, style chips, Holobux or energy rings.
After season 2 in summer, season 3 should start in autumn 2021 and season 4 in winter 2021; further details on the specific content of these seasons will be announced at a later date. In general, however, you should be able to expect roughly the offer from season 2 from these seasons as well. The new content should not incur any additional costs.
Incidentally, the feedback from the community will continue to be considered in order to implement further changes. Just recently, for example, a team knockout was brought back by popular request.
Knockout City is available for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC, but can also be played on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. Five million players were reached within two weeks of the release.
