This Monster Hunter Stories 2 X marks the scene The mission is different from most other content of the game, which is a bit confusing considering the size of the world.
Your task is to find a man’s lost treasure. This feat will take you through the first four areas based on vague clues. You must follow them. You can’t complete anything in this mission out of order, because the next clue and treasure won’t be there.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 X marked field missions
If you are reading this guide, you may have already started this task. If not, go to Loloska and talk to the person sitting on the bench to start the task. It is worth your time, because once everything is finally over, you will get some nice rewards.
However, don’t plan to complete the task from the start.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 X marks the first clue on the scene
The first clue takes you back to the Alcala and Sailor’s Beach Catavan stands. Drive south from the stands and follow the curve of the beach until you see a sparkling area.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 X marks the second clue on the scene
You will return to Hakolo Island and look for waterfalls. Fortunately, it is easy to find. Follow the path east of the Catavan stand to the swimming pool, and you will find a sparkling spot on the right side of the waterfall.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 X marks the third clue on the scene
You will not be able to access the third clue until you complete the story mission in the Lamure area. Go to the Monster Research Lab Catavan booth and set the time to night. Venture to the southern edge of the oasis. The treasure is hidden on a small rock outcrop.
Return to Loloska and send out the treasure. In return, you will get:
- 10 caps (you can also get more caps here)
- 3 gold nuggets
- 5000 money
- 110 experience
As you travel around, keep an eye out for some rare monsters in the game and pick up some extra eggs while doing genetic farming.
