Microsoft has released the patch notes From the Xbox Series X / S Technical Alpha, the software is only avail able to insiders who have registered on Microsoft’s website, so it is not yet public. However, the patch notes are and make it clear that, in addition to corrections, a Night Mode is now releasing.
The “Night Mode” is a function that is seen in monitors and operating systems like Windows 10 for a while, now it would come to Microsoft with similar characteristics. The idea is to program the console to modify screen brightness, HDR and other aspects based on the time of day.
Brightness options
Activating Night Mode gives you the option to automatically activate the blue light filter, allowing you to sleep better at night. In addition, you can modify the HDR so that when you turn on the TV it does not have the maximum brightness and is annoying to the eyes.
The same for the Xbox controller and logo, some players report that it can be very bright, so now the intensity of the brightness can be decreased. They are functions that do not change anyone’s life, or improve the performance of any game, but that many appreciate. Especially the automatic light filter, it is something that many TVs and monitors have and that few use.
The update is available to insiders but will probably be released in the coming weeks as is customary with these Microsoft patches for their consoles.
