The big rumor of the week comes from Kotaku and concerns the GTA license. According to the mediaRockstar Games would prepare a “remastered” collection of three games from the famous franchise. These rumors are said to come from sources – not mentioned in the article – that are “reliable”. In fact, the latter were right several times about the updates to GTA Online and Red Dead Online, weeks in advance.
The three titles in question would be GTA III, GTA: Vice City and GTA San Andreas. Rockstar would use the Unreal Engine and offer a mix of “revamped and vintage visuals”. The user interface would be partially redesigned, but the style of the original games would be retained. We also learn that the responsible studio will be Rockstar Dundee, formerly Ruffian Games. The latter worked mostly Action 2 and 3 and further Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

In the past few months, the US developer has repeatedly called for certain mods to be removed. All of them were locations, cities, cars, and characters from old episodes of the series updated with a newer engine.
