Stardew Valley Since its initial release, more than 15 million copies have been sold on all platforms.
The latest milestone of the game has been announced on the game website.
Although the game is still popular with players, as its creator, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone seems likely to or may not develop further updates for the game, and has turned his attention to his related projects.
When talking to Zach “UnsurpassableZ” Hartman on Twitch after the Stardew Valley Cup, Barone said that he “doesn’t know at this time” whether he will release another update for his first game because he is busy with the upcoming game (via Eurogamer) .
“I’m not saying there will be another Stardew Valley update,” Baron added when answering fans’ questions about future updates and marriage choices in the game. “I don’t know yet. Now I am focus ing on my next game. So, let’s wait and see.”
As far as his new game is concerned, Barone said he might announce it soon.
“What is this, no one knows at the moment,” he said. “What I want to say is that this is another pixel art game, similar to Stardew Valley’s top-down perspective. In some ways it’s a bit similar to Stardew Valley, but it’s not an agricultural game. It’s different. thing.”
Back in 2020, Barone revealed that he is developing two new games, but there is still a long way to go before completion. He also said that a world that took place in Stardew Valley, but not a farm game. On the other hand, he is not 100% sure of this world, but it will be connected with Stardew Valley in some way.
Stardew Valley was originally released on PC in February 2016 and sold 1 million copies within two months. Within a few months, the game expanded support for Mac and Linux, and then released on Xbox One and PS4 in December.
The game landed on Nintendo Switch at the end of 2017, and landed on iOS in October 2018. Three major post-launch updates have been released-the first one adds new farm maps, marriage options and content, the second one expands the supported languages and adds the multiplayer feature for subsequent updates. The most recent update added an island area and split-screen collaboration to the world.
