Kojima Productions working on a new Silent Hill for Sony
The information of the last hours in the video game sector is carried out almost entirely by Konami and its future. We have already told you that several sources, like Gematsu, assure that the company is planning to relaunch some of its most popular licenses, like Metal Gear Solid or Castlevania, in different ways. Well, it looks like there’s no shortage of their plans at Silent Hill.
According to Gematsu, a large Japanese studio is behind the development of a new opus of the horror license; a study which the magazine claims to be Kojima Productions, which would have been revealed to him by a source who prefers to remain anonymous. This source also allegedly assured Gematsu that the game is funded by Sony Interactive
The horror saga is arguably the most speculated Konami license in recent years. After the cancellation of the acclaimed PT and the departure of Hideo Kojima and his team from the corporate org chart, fans have been asking for a new game for years. For now, we just have to wait and see if the cloud of rumors and cross-information that is reaching us these days does eventually become a reality.
We will have to be very attentive, yes, to the real ambition of the current Konami with its classic licenses. Of course, the sad state in which a project like eFootball 2022 (which replaces the PES saga) set off all our alarms.
