Jurassic World Evolution 2 will be released for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on November 9, bringing a daring new era of business simulation. Whether you played the much-loved Frontier Development original in 2018, or just discovered this even deeper and more dynamic sequel, Jurassic World Evolution 2 invites you to experience an evolved world.
One aspect that I’m particularly proud of is the all new Chaos Theory mode. Here, you’ll take matters into your own hands as you revisit key moments from the Jurassic World film franchise in a series of “what if” storylines. The rich lore of the Jurassic World universe provided incredible inspiration for Chaos Theory mode. We wanted a way for gamers to rediscover and reinvent their favorite cinematic moments. By focusing on each of the five films and a particular moment in the cornerstone of those films, we are able to include iconic characters, stories, and locations that we then work into different challenges.
Whether it’s making John Hammond’s dream of an operational Jurassic Park come true, showcasing a T. rex in the San Diego Amphitheater, or building and running a new Jurassic World park, control events like never before in the Jurassic World franchise.
There are five levels in total. The first takes place where it all began: Jurassic Park. Here you will bring John Hammond’s original vision to life. Taking place on Isla Nublar, you will do your utmost to avoid the disasters we see in the movie and welcome the first guests to the park. Authenticity is key, so we made sure to include all of the era-specific Jurassic Park buildings, such as the iconic visitor center, as well as this famous front door, alongside all of the familiar dinosaurs that you remember.
In Jurassic Park 3 level, you will work with Simon Masrani to save the dinosaurs that will give birth to Jurassic World. This one takes place on Isla Sorna and involves you locating, monitoring, and freeing dinosaurs. One of those dinosaurs is the ferocious Spinosaurus, a towering carnivore that caused trouble for the T-rex in the movie. In the beautiful tropical surroundings of this scenario, you may even glimpse the iconic aviary nestled in the distant valley, it captures the feel and excitement of Jurassic Park 3.
The last Chaos Theory mission that I want to develop is our tribute to Jurassic World. This level allows you to pick up where you left off with Simon Masrani, to create the Jurassic world, working alongside another iconic character, Dr. Wu (voiced by BD Wong) to see if you can avoid the mistakes. the past. You will be responsible for creating landmarks and iconic moments such as the Innovation Center, Mosasaur Lagoon, gyrosphere tour, and even creating a one-of-a-kind hybrid dinosaur: the Indominus Rex.
The research for Chaos Theory was a lot of fun as it mostly involved watching each movie in the series multiple times in order to dig into details that we thought were funny or interesting. For example, when we recreated the San Diego Amphitheater in the game, we had to consider how it would fit, look and feel and how our guests and the dinosaurs would interact with it, all while staying true to how this iconic building was presented. in the movie. As you can imagine with five films, it was quite time consuming, but in the best possible way. We also introduced a member or two of the design team to the original Jurassic Park films, as they’re so young they weren’t even alive when they were released!
Hope you enjoyed this more in-depth review of Chaos Theory mode and we can’t wait to see you take control and create your own Jurassic World when the game launches on November 9th. Pre-order now on PS5 and PS4 receive three vehicle skins inspired by The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
